Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 26, 2026
- DreamMe accounts are for parents and caregivers. Children do not sign in.
- Your child's first name never leaves our servers. Stories are written with a placeholder, and we put the name in afterwards.
- No ads, no third-party analytics, no advertising identifiers and no tracking across other apps or websites.
- We do not sell or rent your information.
- You can delete your account and everything in it from the app at any time.
1. Who we are
DreamMe ("the app", "we", "us") is developed and operated by Diego Gonzalez / LOJIK Labs, based in Mexico. For any privacy question or request, email support@dreamme.app.
2. What we collect
Your account
Your email address, or the address Apple gives us if you use Sign in with Apple (this can be a private relay address), and an optional display name.
Your child's profile, which you enter
Your child's first name, age and pronoun; the look of the story's hero, chosen from fixed options (hair colour, hair style, skin tone and glasses); and interests, chosen from a fixed list. We never ask for or accept photos.
Stories
The optional short request you write for a story (up to 200 characters), the language you choose, and the stories and illustrations we make for you.
Plan and credits
Your plan, trial and renewal dates, and your story credits. Apple handles payment; we never see your card or bank details.
Usage and cost records
Records of what happens in the app (for example, that a story was created or failed) and of what each story cost us to make. These stay in our own database and are never shared with an analytics or advertising company.
We do not collect your location, contacts, photos or your device's advertising identifier.
3. How we use it
- To write, illustrate, store and show your stories.
- To run your account, your credits and your subscription.
- To keep stories safe: every request, every page and every illustration is checked by an automated safety filter before it is saved. A story that fails the check is blocked, and its credit is returned.
- To fix problems and understand what the service costs to run.
We do not use your information for advertising or to build marketing profiles.
4. Service providers
We use a small number of providers to run DreamMe. Each one only gets what it needs for its job.
- Supabase hosts our database, sign-in, file storage and server functions.
- OpenAI writes the story text, draws the illustrations and runs the safety checks. It receives the story request with your child's name replaced by a placeholder, together with the age, pronoun, interests, hero look and language. It never receives your child's name, your email or your account details. OpenAI does not use data sent through its API to train its models by default, and may keep it for a limited time to monitor for abuse.
- RevenueCat keeps track of your subscription status. It receives a random account ID and your App Store purchase records, not your name, email or your child's details.
- Apple processes payments and subscriptions and provides Sign in with Apple, under Apple's own privacy policy.
These providers store and process data in the United States and other countries where they operate. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
5. How long we keep it
- We keep your account, your child's profile and your stories while your account is in use.
- If an account has had no activity for 12 months and has no active trial or subscription, we delete it and everything in it automatically.
- When you delete a story, its illustrations are removed from storage by our daily cleanup.
- The story request and prompts saved with a story's cost record are erased after 90 days. After that, the cost record no longer carries any request text and is no longer linked to a child.
- To stop the same App Store free trial being used again and again, we keep a record of past subscription periods with the account link removed. It contains no name, email or child information.
6. Deleting your data
In the app, go to the You tab, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. This permanently deletes your account, your children's profiles, your stories and illustrations, your credits and usage records, and our record at RevenueCat.
Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store subscription. To stop being charged, open iPhone Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions.
You can also ask us to delete your data by emailing support@dreamme.app from the address on your account.
7. Children
DreamMe is made for parents and caregivers. An adult creates and manages the account, and children do not create accounts or sign in. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. The details about your child come from you, and you can view, change or delete them in the app at any time. If you believe a child has created an account, email us and we will delete it.
8. Security
Your stories and illustrations are stored privately. Illustrations are shown only through short-lived links tied to your account, and our database only lets your account read your family's data.
9. Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete the information we hold about you, or object to how we use it. Email support@dreamme.app and we will reply within 30 days. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If the change is significant, we will also tell you in the app before it takes effect.
